CommonStat will never allow advertisements of any kind on the platform. We could all use a little break.
Cookies
HTTP cookies are small text files that websites may store on your computer via your web browser.
Cookies are neccessary for websites to remember information about your session and identity across
subsequent requests; if it weren't for cookies, you'd have to log in every time you navigate to a different page!
Cookies can also be used for more sinister purposes: building a long-term profile of your browsing behavior across the internet.
We respect your privacy, have no interest in tracking your activity or helping some algorithm curate ads to you,
and will never allow cookies of the latter type. We do use 1
cookie to keep track of your login
status across requests in an effort to improve your experience while visiting.
Go check it out:
- Launch the applicable "Developer Tools" in your browser (
F12
is normally the keyboard shortcut) - Select the "Application"/"Storage" tab
- Select "Cookies">"https://commonstat.com"
This cookie contains an ID associated with your account, is encrypted using a secret key that only we know, and has a built-in expiration date/time.
